Performance by Luiza Furtado at Roberta Lima´s BRIGHT Exhibition.

A dialogue between Generations X and Z brings together those who have paved the way for generations to come. Roberta, who has come a long way with her practice, passes the baton on to the next generation of immigrant performance artists working in Vienna. Open a space to strengthen your community.

Luiza proposes a live performance titled "crosta". She borrows the flowers from Lima to symbolize intentions and energetic desires for her own onward journey. During the migration process, the artist was able to connect past and present to reflect on the emotional baggage.

The dance that mimics death shows cyclical and refreshing bliss as it circles previous experiences.

Using textile craftsmanship as primary support, the performer intends to mix dream-like scenarios ranging from trauma to the ritual shifting of scars. She builds a colorful set of wearable objects that trigger intuitive movement and orality in space. With the aim of taking a new direction in their practice, it is an act of super-exposure, rebirth and unbundling.
