“Coluna” is a Portuguese word for Spine. Reflecting on themes such as structural growth
and resilience upon bodily movement. Flames the desire to choreograph a piece powered by
duality. Stretching molds of formal dance guidelines, Luiza pendulates from opposite
corporeal languages. To awaken a conflicting atmosphere. And seizure the birth of a center of balance, or allegorical Spine. Using handmade textile costumes as a venue to fabulate prosthetic realities. The performer embodies a puppet that controls its own strings.
